Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

• —Engagement Information — High-level, non-financial information about the status of Your interaction with Us or with a Partner — for example, that You requested an introduction, that You have responded or not responded to outreach, that You are actively searching in a given market, or that You are at a general stage of Your process (such as browsing, actively searching, or under contract).
• —Partner — A third party in Our partner network to whom We may introduce You, or who may work with You in connection with a short-term rental investment — including real estate agents, brokerages and real estate professionals, lenders, mortgage brokers and other financing providers, property managers, insurance providers, tax and legal professionals, and similar service providers. Partners are independent businesses that act for their own purposes, not as Our Service Providers.
• —Personal Data — Any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
• —Service — Refers to the Website.
• —Service Provider — Any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company — third-party companies or individuals employed to facilitate the Service, provide the Service on behalf of the Company, or assist in analyzing how the Service is used.
• —Third-party Social Media Service — Any website or social network through which a User can log in or create an account to use the Service.
• —Usage Data — Data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).

• —You — The individual accessing or using the Service, or the company or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service.

Types of Data Collected

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

• —To manage Your Account — to manage Your registration as a user of the Service. The Personal Data You provide gives You access to different functionalities available to You as a registered user.

We may share Your personal information in the following situations:

• —With Partners in Our partner network — When You ask to be connected with a real estate agent, lender, property manager or other Partner — or otherwise indicate interest in a short-term rental investment — We may share Your contact information, the details of Your request, and Engagement Information with those Partners so they can contact You and support You through Your investment process. We may also share Engagement Information We receive from one Partner with another Partner working with You. See Section 3 below for details.
• —With business partners — We may share Your information with Our business partners to offer You certain products, services or promotions.
• —With other users — When You share personal information or interact in public areas with other users, such information may be viewed by all users and publicly distributed outside.
• —With Your consent — We may disclose Your personal information for any other purpose with Your consent.

Retention of Your Personal Data

The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

The Company will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of Our Service, or We are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

Transfer of Your Personal Data

Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. This means that this information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of Your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of Your jurisdiction.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by Your submission of such information represents Your agreement to that transfer.

The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. No transfer of Your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of Your data and other personal information.

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Who We Share With

We may share Your information with Partners including real estate agents, brokerages and other real estate professionals; lenders, mortgage brokers and other financing providers; property managers and short-term rental operators; and insurance, tax, legal and similar service providers who support short-term rental investors. We may share with more than one Partner in a category, and We may introduce You to additional Partners over time as Your needs change — for example, introducing You to a lender after You have been connected with an agent.

What We Share

• —Contact and request information — Your name, email address, phone number, and the substance of Your request — such as the markets, property types, price ranges or timelines You told Us about.
• —Information You provide through Our tools — Information You enter into Our calculators, analyses, reports and forms, where that information is relevant to the introduction or service You requested.
• —Source and campaign information — Information about how You reached Us and which page or tool You submitted Your request from — such as referral source, campaign parameters, and the page You were on — which We attach to Your request so We and Our Partners can respond in context.
• —Engagement Information — High-level status about where You are in Your process — for example, that You are actively searching, that You have or have not responded to outreach, or that You are touring properties or under contract.

Information We Receive from Partners, and Updates Between Partners

Partners may share information back with Us about their interactions with You — for example, whether they reached You, whether You are actively engaged, and the general stage of Your process. We use that information to operate and improve the Service, to measure the quality of Our introductions, and to support You.

We may share updates on Your progress with the agents, lenders and other Partners You have been connected with, including Engagement Information that originates from a different Partner. For example, if an agent You are working with tells Us that You are actively touring properties, We may let a lender You were introduced to know that You are actively engaged, so that they can support You at the right time. This means information about You may flow between Us and Partners in both directions, and between one Partner and another through Us, after Your initial introduction — not only at the moment of that introduction.

Limits on What We Share

Updates We pass between Partners are limited to general Engagement Information. We do not share deal terms, offer amounts, negotiation details, credit information, or financial account, income or asset information that We receive from a Partner with another Partner, unless You ask Us to or otherwise direct that sharing. Information You choose to give a Partner directly is governed by that Partner's own privacy policy.

How Partners Use Your Information

Partners are independent businesses. Once We share Your information with a Partner, that Partner uses it for its own purposes and under its own privacy policy, and We do not control that use. Partners may contact You directly, including by email, phone call or text message. Lenders and other financial institutions are separately subject to financial privacy laws and will provide You with their own privacy notices. We encourage You to review the privacy policy of any Partner You engage with.

Your Choices

You can ask Us at any time to stop sharing Your information with Partners, to stop sending status updates about You to a specific Partner, or to remove You from Our partner network entirely, by contacting Us at product@getchalet.com. You may also ask a Partner directly to stop contacting You. Honoring Your request going forward does not undo sharing that has already occurred, and does not require a Partner to delete information it already holds — You would need to contact that Partner directly. Depending on where You live, You may have additional rights to access, delete, correct, or limit the sharing of Your Personal Data; contact Us at the address above to exercise them.
